First Cashless Arena Event in the US!
October 2006 (St. Louis, Missouri)
Total Venue Control (TVC) successfully implemented the first cashless arena event in the US from October 26 through October 29, 2006 (9 shows over 4 days).  More than 15,000 people attended the "Circus to Save Lives," a huge 3-ring circus presented as a benefit for Siteman Cancer Center at Barnes-Jewish St. Peters Hospital.  Hosted at the 11,500-seat Family Arena in St. Charles, Missouri, all food, beverage and merchandise concessions as well as event entertainment (e.g. elephand and pony rides) were purchased using custom-designed concession smart cards.  TVC provided point-of-sale equipment and reporting software, a sales, marketing and operations staff, and the event-specific collectible concession cards.  "Circus to Save Lives" event attendees spent 30% less time waiting in concession lines and more time enjoying event entertainment.
Total Venue Control was featured in Street & Smith's Sports Business Journal following this landmark event.
